Dance Technique for Kids

Educating and Inspiring Children to get into their Bodies! 

9 Week Winter/Spring Session begins January 16th-March 22nd, 2018

All my classes offer Traditional Dance Technique, Body Awareness, Cross-brain patterning exercises, Spacial Awareness, Ancient Art of Dance, Alignment, Choreography, Healthy Expression and Joy of Being in the Body!


9 Week Winter/Spring Session Begins Tuesday January 16th

Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 pm
ages 4-6
Introduction to Ballet, Jazz and Tap
This class is designed for the beginner dancer with basic body positions, steps and across the floor movements within each of the three traditional dance forms of Ballet, Jazz and Tap. There is emphasis on cross brain patterning, vocalizing through song and free dance to inspire the spirit of the dance.

Thursdays 3:30-4:40 pm
ages 7-9
Ballet/Jazz/Modern Level 1-2
This class will include a 15 minute Ballet Bar section, which improves foot, leg positioning and a general understanding of aligned body posture. The students will learn leaps, several styles of turns, kicks and basic choreography that supports their level and offers open expression and play.

If your child is older than 9 and has a genuine interest I may develop another class for 10-14 year olds on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:40 pm. Please e-mail me if you have interest!

All Classes will be held at ‘Embody’ Center for the Healing Arts
823 Main St.

Please pre-register by January 10th

Cost: 9 Week Session $90 or two payments of $45
